Prescription Statistics in Australia- Generic Drugs Vs Patent Drug
Every year the Health Insurance Companies conduct a survey along with the Pharmacy Guild Survey of Australia. While there are significant differences in the percentage uses of generic and patent drugs, in Australia however, such a trend is not observed because of the Pharmaceutical Benefit Scheme initiated by the government. According to this scheme, all Australian citizens and legitimate overseas are provided benefits and subsidies on prescription medicines. The scheme has provided a pathway to avail medication (whether generic or patented) in affordable way. Under this scheme, the citizens can get equal discount benefits on both the generic and patent medicines.
