Diazepam And It's Mechanism Of Action

Diazepam- Active Ingredient
The active ingredient in Diazepam is Benzodiazepine. Benzodiazepine is a neuro-active ingredient and works on the brain’s chemical levels.

Diazepam- Mechanism of Action
As sated earlier, Diazepam is a psychoactive drug and it works on the neurochemicals. The main function of the drug is to re-establish the balance in the chemical level.
To understand the mechanism of Diazepam’s action, we need to understand the brain’s
functionality. One of the main functions of the human brain is to adapt the body to the
environment. Brian performs this function by responding to body receptors which gives
information to the brain about the environment.
